Proposed Development
The proposed development offers an ideal opportunity to deliver a high-quality, attractive and well-integrated new development, which forms a natural and logical and sustainable for future development growth in Aldridge.
An outline planning application will be submitted to Walsall Council, with the following proposed description of development. All details except access will be approved at Reserved Matters Stage.
“Outline planning application for the erection of up to 160 dwellings (Use Class C3) and open space provision, with all matters reserved except from access.”
At this stage of the design process, St Philips’ proposals would deliver up to 160 homes, of which 50% would be affordable, comprising a range of types and sizes, together with open space, supporting infrastructure, sustainable urban drainage systems and biodiversity enhancements.

In terms of design, the current development proposals would seek to deliver:

Delivery of up to 160 homes comprising a mix of dwelling types, tenures and sizes
Provision of 50% policy compliant levels of affordable housing
New vehicular access from Little Aston Road, internal roads and parking

A surface water attenuation basin

New planting and landscaping throughout the site, including trees along streets and along the site boundaries

Provision of public open space and biodiversity enhancements within the red line boundary
